 Hola a todos,

Spanish: 

• We are learning all about fall (otoño) and the seasons in Spanish. 
• Practice these words with your child:
• Yo veo... (I see)
• A mi me gusta... (I like)
• Mi comida favorita es... (my favourite food is) 
• Mi color favorito es... (my favourite colour is) 

ELAL: 

• Our sounds of the week are: th (voiceless), th (voiced), a and o
• Our sight words of the week are: is, you, that, it, he, was.
• When reading with your child, have them point out the sight words they see on a page. 
• We read books about Fall this week! We read Leif and The Fall by Adam Grant & Allison Sweet and Chirp! by Jamie Swenson. 

Math: 

• Create patterns with your child at home using different materials (lego, utensils from the kitchen, different toys, etc.) 
• Practice printing numbers 1-20 with your child, have them print to-do lists, grocery lists, etc. 
• Practice counting by 2's with your child at home. 

Science:

• We are learning about primary and secondary colours, specifically warm and cool tones.

Social Studies:

• We are learning about our community and what it means to be a good citizen.

• We are having a playground party on Friday, Oct 21st from 1:30-3:30 pm to explore our current playground and check out some ideas for the new playground we are hoping to build! Join us with your kiddos and ask any questions that you might have!
• Did you know?? Our current playground is over 22 years old!!

• We still need one volunteer to help with Apple delivery. Almost 300 boxes of apples were purchased by our school so the help will be greatly appreciated.
