Lunes 26 de septiembre

Hola a todos,

Today we had the Terry Fox Run! It was really fun.

Spanish: We are reviewing our vocales A, E, I, O, U. (Vowels in Spanish A, E, I, O, U)
Here are some videos you can watch with your child:
https://youtu.be/DDg0cHSR1wY  (El mono silabo A,E,I,O,U)
https://youtu.be/klGK7ehiDPg (Veo veo las vocales [I see the vowels])

ELAL: Today we read a story about Orange Shirt Day and the person who started it, Phyllis Webstad. We talked about the indigenous tradition of sharing circle.

Math: We represented the number of the day (11) in different ways. We counted from 1-100 in Spanish as a class with a game.

Our favourite part of the day was:

  • Terry Fox run with whole school.
  • Doing the math game.
  • Making new friends with grade 5's and 4's.
  • Got to see some family.
  • Reading the Terry Fox book that Kailyn brought.
  • Learning new things with Srta.
  • We had the park today! We love playing with our friends in the tire swing.

These forms have been sent home with your child. Please fill out the Acknowledgment of Risk form & the Swimming Ability form , returning them to your child’s classroom teacher by no later than September 29, 2022. Both of these forms are required in order for your child to participate in swimming program. Thank you to our Dalhousie Parent Society who generously funded a large portion of the bussing, thereby reducing the individual cost to families.  We will require 6 additional volunteers and 1 male volunteer for each time slot for this field trip to be a success. Please see the Sign Up Genius to sign up for a volunteer slot. Only approved CBE volunteers will be permitted to attend this trip.   As we currently have a shortage of cleared volunteers in the lower grades, parents who are cleared from Kindergarten, Grades 4 & 5 are welcome to sign up.
